For the past few years I’ve been a fractional CTO, often with multiple teams at once. I help early-stage startups build solid technology and team foundations, typically with small, high-leverage teams (under 20 engineers) applying new tech in novel ways.
I try to bring thoughtful rigor, human messiness, and optimistic curiosity in equal measure — staying calm, kind, and honest. I push for a culture of openness, demos, and visible work. When teams share progress (and mistakes) early and often, we build better products, stronger trust, and creative momentum. I gently but firmly encourage fast iteration and frequent releases, while staying connected to the “why.”
Regardless of role, I stay close to the code. As a developer, I’m most drawn to where new capabilities meet real-world application: machine learning, decentralized finance, cryptography, edge computing, creator tools.
